Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in Chocolate and Medium Brown: Photos, Swatches, and Reviews

I’m sure you’ve heard or read about how thick and bushy but well-defined Cara Delevingne-ish eyebrows are all the rage now as compared to overly-arched thin-as-a-line eyebrows from the 90’s. That trend shift made me happy-sad—happy because I can let my brows grow how they really are naturally with minimal plucking, but sad because my brows don’t grow as thick as they once were when I was younger. I remember being so desperate to get my thick brows back that I stopped grooming them for 2 months! I got disappointed in the end, though. My eyebrows got thicker, sure, but they just didn’t grow back to how they were in my early teens.

Despite my frustration, I realized I needed to get over it… there was simply no use in sulking about my over-plucking faux pas in the past. I should just focus on making the most of what I have and finding ways to improve my eyebrows’ appearance. Thankfully, more and more eyebrow makeup have been coming out since the trend shift, and I came across another cult favorite that I’d love to share with you guys: The Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade. It also happens to be one of my favorite eyebrow makeup products because I get the most eyebrow compliments whenever I wear this! It does wonders, really. Now even people born with naturally sparse brows won’t have much of a dilemma with getting their brows to look thick!

The Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade is described on the Sephora website as “a smudge-free, waterproof pomade formula that performs as an all-in-one brow product.” It sells for $18.00 for 0.14oz and is offered in a multitude of other shades to accommodate different hair colors. I got mine from BeautyMNL when the website was open on an invite-only basis, so I got 20% off and paid a steal price of Php944.00! It’s listed for Php1,180.00 and is now available to anyone. Go ahead and check the site out! It’s a makeup junkie heaven!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade: Chocolate and Medium Brown Review Summary

Packaging: 5.0/5.0
Pigmentation: 5.0/5.0
Application: 4.0/5.0
Wear: 5.0/5.0
Longevity: 5.0/5.0
TOTAL: 4.8/5.0

The Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade’s pigmentation, wear, and longevity are INSANELY impressive. First, the pigmentation: One pot could probably last someone at least a year (or even two) because of how much color payoff a slight dab would give. Second, the wear factor: It appears really thick and gives the impression that it’s emollient upon application, but don’t let that fool you. It barely feels like anything on the face. It doesn’t smudge at all, as well, so don’t worry about sweat or water taking it off. I wore this baby before taking a dip in the pool, and voila—my eyebrows still looked freshly made up afterwards. Lastly, the longevity: this lasts me at least 10 hours. To think I have extremely oily skin!

I could think of only two slightly negative things about this product—the packaging and the application. Normally I don’t like pots as product packaging, but since this is an eyebrow pomade and is applied using a brush, it gets a perfect score (plus I honestly can’t think of any other packaging this product could come in). Just make sure you clean your eyebrow brushes regularly, as with all other makeup brushes. With regards to the application, all I can say is that this product isn’t for someone on the go, unless you’re extremely sure you won’t commit a mistake. A veeeery little amount goes a long way in the case of this product and it’s really difficult to remove once it sets, which it does rather quickly. So, if you’re in a rush and you’re not yet confident with your eyebrow drawing skills, it’s best you put this off for a day when you have more time to paint on your face. Having a makeup remover and a cotton swab on hand to correct mistakes would be really helpful, too.

I came across this product on one of the WordPress beauty blogs I follow… I think that was also around summer time? I’m so glad I got to get my hands on them. You should really give it a try! :)

Oh, and thank you so much for the eyebrow compliment! x

UGGGHHH, so pretty! I’ve been wanting to get this since early this year but it’s just too damn expensive for a brow product -_- But really, uggghhh. Okay, maybe next year. Haha!

      Thank you! I’m kilig. 😆

It’s a bit pricey, but considering how long it will last.. I think it’s pretty worth it. I’ve used mine for 2-3 months already and I’ve probably consumed just 1/10th (or less) of the whole pot! :)

I have it in ebony and I really like it and I want to get my mom the blonde shade! Though currently I’ve been committing a beauty faux pas and using black liner and mascara woops.

It’s such a nice product, isn’t it? I got my mom the Gimme Brow by Benefit because my mom isn’t as patient as me when it comes to doing her face hahaha! I’ll make a review on that soon, too (it’s my lazy day eyebrow makeup favorite)… maybe you’d like to check it out when I get it posted. :)

I think black liner and mascara on your brows are okay as long as you can pull it off! Before I discovered all these eyebrow makeup options, I used to put on eyeshadow with a damp brush. 😆

I’m currently using Anastasia duo powder in Granite. I wanted to get this (Ebony), but I prefer easy-to-use brow products and a softer brow look since I already have dense brow hairs. THAT said, I’m still tempted to get this… as an eyeliner. Haha!

I never thought of doing that (thanks for the idea lol) but I think it would work! The pigmentation of this product is just awesome!
